If you've tried playing poker, then you already know that each of your poker opponent has his or her own style. You increase your chances greatly if you know what type your poker opponent is. There are basically four categories of a poker player, loose, aggressive, and passive. A tight player plays only a few hands while loose one, obviously, will tend to play a lot of hand. If your poker opponent is aggressive, then that means that he usually raises during the betting round and bluff. A passive player meanwhile just calls the bets of the other players.

Take note of what hand he has when he usually bluffs. What hand does he feel confident? Does he fold immediately.
